Do you? I don't, does this put him out of touch with the people? We use a lot of milk but I'm not even sure what it costs, it just goes in the trolley as an essential item

No, I don't buy value bread - our wholemeal loaves with bits in are about £1.50. Milk is just under £2 for 2 litres (Cravendale semi).
The bread my lot like is £1 from Asda or £1.45 at the local shop. Milk is £1 for 4 litres at Asda and £1.39 from the local shop. We go through 7 loaves in week and about 4 lots of milk so I save £4.71 (£3.15 + £1.56) jut on those items by buying from a supermarket.
sherrardk, you should be Prime Minister.

JJ can be Minister for Smart Shoes.
allinson wholemeal is £1 from asda, does me the week, pint of skimmed milk from tesco 49p, does me the week too

Neither do I for that matter, we don't buy carp bread!
Who Cares?
Pathetic question really
Theres a load of different types of bread, sizes etc etc.

I havent got a clue how much a loaf costs
I agree with you Baldric we get best bread fresh fom the bakery.what's this fish bread like?

Ah! You mean that well known typo,
Well on a scale of 1-10 it's OK
Haha
I thought Grasscarp might know :)
You must tell me where your branch of ASDA is, sherrardk. Mine only does 4 pints for a pound, not 4 litres.

The bottle top colours are consistent as a result of an agreement between the suppliers and the main supermarkets. A few years back Tesco's semi-skimmed came with a red top (they were the only ones out of line). But they eventually gave way and aligned their colours with everybody else.
Sorry, meant pints.
You're forgiven !!! :-)
My wholemeal bread from Waitrose is £1.72............does that make me posh?
Craft, we all know you're posh
i don't see why anyone would think he would know

i don't either. i don't usually buy it.

i tend not to worry too much over the price of staples

i do look at prices while i am actually shopping - but i dont remember it later.

i expect his wife does the shopping anyway...
Proves how trusting he is of his grocery supplier
