BBC, ITV and Sky newsreaders are already wearing poppies and we haven't even had Halloween yet. Why does it run for weeks instead of one day?

Exactly I agree with Steve.5, WW1 lasted 4 years, WW2 6years and the Afghan conflict has so far been going on for 12 years to date.

And you moan about poppies being on sale just a few weeks before Remembrance Day.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, after I posted I did wonder if someone would read it that way. It's odd but I don't work in the town where I live and I am always the first to wear a poppy and it's only me for at least a week. There was one year a woman demanded to know where I'd got it because she had some connexion with the fund and she said it was too early.
