Before falling in to my pit. Been up since 4.15am. The day is nearly done and I am having a well deserved IMO B&C. How has your day been?

How's Mic?
Jeza, please remember to look after yourself. Whilst himself was only poorly for a short time I clearly remember how stressful it was and he was mobile(ish). Take care if yourself (hope Mic is doing ok), x
why were you up so early, how many hours sleep are you getting on average a night ?
Lovely to hear from you, enjoy your night cap Jeza. Fairly standard day at work for me, but we had a lovely weekend - we were lucky enough to have a light lunch out, an evening out and a day in the garden. It was spring like here and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Are you able to pop out at any time during the day?

Thanks for asking about Mic, Jeffa and Sher and anyone else who asks (I can't type fast)
Rang the surgery this a.m and said I thought Mic needed some AntiBi's knowing they wouldn't prescribe them over the phone. The Doc was here within the hour.
Examined him and gave me a 'script. Just waiting for them to kick in.
Seriously Jeza, please make sure to look after yourself. Last summer nearly did me in, x

Anne, I woke to use the bathroom. Checked on Mic, he was awake, distressed and wet through.
good, enjoy the B&C

your own time
so, on your own im assuming you had to change bedding, does he have a chest infection ?
Question Author
Hard to change it on your own. I dragged the bottom sheet from under him and surrounded him with towels. Gave him clean top bedding and pillows. Turned Washing machine on at 5am, now waiting for complaints from neighbours as it has been on 5 times today and the last spin is noisy.
what time do carers call in the am ?
Question Author
7am Anne.
I don't wish to be too intrusive but is mic incontinent at all times ? if he is, would a catheter be of benefit ?
Question Author
Tried by several people and failed. Now looking at conveens.
Jeza I do feel so sorry for you, it can't be easy. I know you want Mic at home but are you getting all the help you need?
Question Author
Slowly Ann. The wheels of bureaucracy don't turn very fast. There are so many different people/agencies/officials, it's a nightmare at times.
Jeza, my friend is going through the same experience with her husband. She is getting very tired with all the comings and goings of the carers so we keep telling her to get some "me time" ...... I'm sure we all send you both our love x
Question Author
My me time is on here Ann for about an hour a night. It is now time for bed. Night all.
Night Jeza, sleep well
Its such a tough job Jeza, I know I looked after my mum who was doubly incontinent, and had dementia, I cared for her for 8 years.I don't know where you are, but I am in Hampshire, and HC Council have "Take a Break" They awarded me 6 hours a week, I had 3 lots of 2 hours where someone would come and sit with mum so I could go out, sleep or whatever. I could have had 2x3 hours or all 6 in one go. It kept me sane (ish) ! It might be worth asking social services if your county council do the same. I hope you get more help, you have to push for it. Look after yourself too, I didn't, and the stress of everything made me ill. Now mum has gone, I cant do all the things I was hoping to do because of bad health, brought on by stress, and not looking after me. Good luck and accept any help you are offered.
