Something is niggling me. Mrs. Brown talks about having six kids. Yet only Rory,Mark,Trevor,Dermot and Cathy are seen or mentioned or talked about. I know it's only fiction but who is the sixth?

Not sure cos I don't watch it but gather from friends she includes Grandad as he's like one of her kids.

I've found this on Digital Spy which is probably a better explanation

"In the radio show and books her children are Mark, Dermot, Trevor & Simon (twins), Rory, Frankie and Cathy. Frankie is the "black sheep" of the family - frequently in trouble and not living in or near the rest of the family so he's spoken about more than actually interacting with the family and they seem to have written Simon out of the TV adaptation altogether."

don't know re radio broadcasts but on the tv prog you will see a photo of a chap with dark hair and glasses....he is the missing son.......he is away 'on the missions' but he does turn up infrequently

Only just seen this Alice. The picture you mention is of her son Trevor who is a Catholic priest who is working in the Mission in Africa.
