When trying to record a Programme we realised that some of the recordings were not taping sins the clocks went forward. On checking our recordings on the Guide although the times on the Guide were correct when selecting them to tape the times showing for the recordings were not correct hence the whole thing developed into a shambles for a wrinklie like me .HELP

If you provide more info such as model, then it will help folk to help you.
Do you mean record rather than tape?

I'm sorry but had a MAGIC moment last night the Model is HUMAX PVR-9300T and yes should have been record not tape.
What happened was that if you tried to record a half hour programme say at 2030 it said you could not record citing 2 programmes that were not due to record until 2100. Even trying to use +1 programmes the same thing was happening. A programme I had recorded late Sat had recorded OK but a non BBC had not. The guide was showing correct time but it looked as if somewhere along the line the clock's forward had not been done

Have just gone and checked and the same thing is happening. Tried to record Eastenders at 1930 but was told could no due to 2 recordings at 2000. Checked the Humax time was correct and it was. So appears to me that somewhere along the line the Summer Time has not been actvated.
Had a skim through the manual and can't see anyway to change the time, so I'm assuming the time is set buy the EPG.

Have you switched it off at the mains - not just put it into standby. That will cause it to reload the current EPG when you switch it on again.

Have you checked that there are no other recordings scheduled?
Question Author
Yes have switched it off at the mains. It appears as if though the Guide is showing the correct times when you actually try to record the EPG has NOT applied BST.
Humax Clock should be set to BST through Menu on Remote Control.
EPG should then fall into line
Question Author
Have set the Humax to GMT Auto which as far as I know compensates for any change in GMT
Question Author
I have just done a Automatic retune of the Humax and all seems to be OK now, but am sure that was not the right answer to the problem.
