I also have a Fujifilm FinePix A 500 camera and want to download my photos
on to my PC. how do I do it.Please Advise.

Assuming that this is a conventional modern PC running a Microsoft Operating System. It's not worth installing the Fuji software. As @bhg481 says, just use the USB cable which came with tha camera to connect the camera to a USB port on the PC. Turn the camera on and it should appear as a new disc drive. Then use Windows Explorer to navigate the files. You can set...

You have a choice of two methods. You should have a cable which was supplied with your camera; use it to connect your camera to your computer at which point it should appear on your list of devives. You simply drag and drop the files from your camera onto your PC. Alternatively, remove the memory card from the camera, put it into a memory card reader (there may be one on your PC) and then drag and drop the files as before.

I have connected the USB cable several times, but nothing happens !

Your camera has to be switched on and, possibly, in "playback" mode.

It also may take a short time for the camera to install the drivers if this is the first time you've connected it.
