Before I buy ANYTHING, I do a bit of research first. I would have known about the servicing requirements of the vehicle....and wouldn't have even considered ordering one!

My current vehicle has a 3,000 mile recommended engine oil change interval, which might be more frequent than every 4 months.

I already have a very reliable car bright, one of the reason's I ask, these dealers are trying it on with many people to con them out of money, a poster in Motoring Asked about a petrol additive that was costing £40 that he /she was told the car had to use.

At the time, the top of the range Mitsubishi Evo VIII (In my first answer I wrote ( Give back the FQ400 and go for the FQ260 or FQ320 instead. had a gert big turbocharger, and had to be serviced every three or four THOUSAND MILES. You'd have to have a wallet as wide as the Pacific Ocean, or pockets as deep as the Marianas Trench to own one.

IF you can afford it (And are happy that that is what the Manufacturer recommends for the car) and IF you are happy to be without it for the length of the Service then why not?

I do Bright, what Steve is on about I don't know, my car is a 1999 328! 180000, in mint, I service the car every 4>>6 Months no matter what the mileage.

It's the "M" Sport Coupe, believe this or not, I have jist had a letter from BMW H.Q. Germany, I wanted to know the Paint code from the Primmer that's on the car as there is a bit of rust in the boot well, their reply, the do not know "Honest" I have the mail here.

They tend to use a spectrophotometer for paints over 5 years old as the original paint menu will have faded.Try a Sytner bodyshop...they aint too expensive.

Yes the're UK based but are mid to southern.Any decent bodyshop should have a spectro.

It's not a vast area, the well on these as you may know are bad for Condensation, another area for your info is behind the front slash Guards, there is a water / dirt trap just above the Mup Flap at the rear of each flap, I removed both Cleaned out then put a lot of copper grease at an angle there.
