Hp Simple Pass Application

Afternoon all
I seem to have a lot of programmes running on start up - hp simple pass application has a 'high' start up impact. I understand it's something to do with my touch pad recognising my fingerprint - this seems unnecessary as no-one else ever uses my computer. Is it safe to disable this?

Sorry, forgot to add that there are two seperate simplepass broker applications both with low start up impact - can I disable these too?

if you open up task manager. then start up. right click hp simple pass application it will say search online it will tell you about it and if you can disable it

berniec thank you - I have done that but as I'm really, really thick over this sort of thing I wanted a 'proper person' to explain it to me. ABers have always be so much more helpful to me than me going it alone on the internet. Thank you though, appreciate the reply
