Abscess on my tooth

Have just been to the dentist today as im in agony, have been told i have an abscess on my tooth but have also seen on the x-ray that a pin has been left where there should have been a root filling. I now have to take loads of antibiotics and have a quote of �340 to put right which i simply cant afford right now. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately no, it wasnt the same dentist

Well, surely you can file a lawsuit against the doctor who did put it there then?

Go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and ask where you can get some free legal advice. The first dentist has been grossly negligent imho. You need some professional advice here.

Thanks for all your suggestions, been trying to trace who the dentist was, but unfortunately due to my fear of dentists theres been a few!!!

Any dentist is legally obliged to give you a copy of your records, there may be a charge for duplication of x-rays etc, but they can't refuse you
