I do enjoy this programme, it has drama, comedy, adult themes, nice scenery and the acting of the cast is brilliant.
You never know what is going to happen next, like the father of the baby entering the story, and whatsits ex husband cracks me up, with his bumbling & muttering.
I cant remember what Ive seen the women who lives on the farm and her boyfriend in before, anybody know?

I enjoyed it too. Sarah Lancashire showed what a good aim she has when slinging stuff down the stairs at her ex! Calamity plays her part well too watching whoever's speaking and last night making sure that she got her food from the spoon quickly even though her mother was speaking to the others round the table.
I couldn't agree more, gingerbee. Why do people seem to sneer at "soaps?"
As gingerbee said, a soap is a continuing drama therefore, any fictitious story about a group of characters, is a soap.
Such renowned dramas like, The Forsyte Saga, Poldark, Broadchurch etc would fall into that category.
LTIH is well written, fantastically acted, drama. End of, in my opinion.
