Growing up, I used to love being out in the sunshine but nowadays I tend to keep covered, due to some skin cancers I had to have removed from my face. Or does it ......
I don't like the sun/heat in the UK. Love it when abroad though. When we go abroad it's coastal and the winds keep you cool. Last holiday I had it was 32 degrees and I had to go buy a cardigan :-) Even the shop keeper looked at me like I was a fruit cake...

JNO...if I had the choice between believing the Dermatologist, or some organisation called "Team SunSprite" (?), I know who I would go with !
fair enough, they have a sort of commercial interest (they sell gadgets that measure how much sun you're getting).

But there's plenty of sources of information about Vitamin D

or SAD

JNO.....Perhaps Sqad can come in at this point and enlighten us ! I am sure that you can get enough daylight to ward off SAD and Vitamin D, without running the risk of skin cancer.
People aren't though, Mikey.
I know nothing at all about skin cancer but I have always believed something along the lines of what sqad has posted.

Chip...you make perfect sense !
Just on the BBC now. Caucasian people should aim to be in the sun for 20-30 unprotected a day. Darker skin types should aim for 40 mins.

Not sure I agree with that.
