I have a pda type thing which has wi-fi, i access the internet using wi-fi do i have to pay??

Depends on how you access the internet. Some hotels etc will charge you - when you try to connect you will get a screen explaining that you cannot get through the portal without entering your card details.

You can search for networks using some software (if not built into your pda) like wififofum (I think) and seach for networks that you can piggyback on like my neighbours ;-) This is free

Thankyou for your answer but can i just ask...you dont actually get charged for downloading so many kb, mb or gb...you just get charged if you use it has certain places...like hotels, cafe's and so on...is that right??
