Don't really know at least half of them, and Daniel O'Donnell is possibly the world's blandest singer. Peter Andre will probably drive me potty . Will have to root for Carol Kirkwood (heavily suspect that she will be given to Anton unless she shows profound dancing talent).

Don't you think it's like that every year though, when the names are given out...and then once the show starts it ceases to matter who's in it? That's how I feel any away :)

Haven't watched it since Mark Ramprakash won and that was YEARS ago. It's all very tedious and samey now. It's become a popularity contest not a dance contest.

I think the celebs are the best selection in years. I've heard of most of them, so that's a start. Like ethandron, though, I find it matters not a jot once it starts - we get to know and love/hate them as the weeks progress. I can't wait for it to start

I don't think I've ever viewed it as a dance competition, more of an entertainment show. It is what it is, and for lots of us something to look forward to on a Saturday evening.

I can't wait either it's one of my favourite programmes, perhaps they're saving the best until last. Jan, don't see how you can say it's tedious and samey if you haven't watched it for years. There are some very 'fit' professional male dancers on it now, cheer this old dear's Saturday evening anyway.

What i want to know is who are they going to pair Kristina Rihanoff with? Will have to be with single man or someone who is gay. I'm sure she wont be allowed anywhere near anymore married men.
