I don't watch 'Casualty' but I've also been looking at the cast list (on the Radio Times website). The only male and female parts with the same surname seem to be Naomi Morrison and Col Morrison, so perhaps that's the bride and father that you're referring to?

Paul Brown, who played Col Morrison, must be getting rather confused by now. Every time he turns up at that hospital his identity has changed!

He played Ed Connors (in 'Casualty') in 2000. Then he was Karl Massey (in 'Holby City') in 2003. By 2007 his name had changed to Philip Reid and then, in 2011, it became Julian Wells (both in 'Holby City'). The BBC must be short of actors!

I've just taken another look at my Imdb link. Not only has he played 5 different roles when turning up at Holby Hospital, he's also played 5 different roles in 'Doctors'!

Perhaps it's time he played someone with a multiple-personality disorder?
