Facebook Advertising Help.

I would like to advertise on Facebook but I want to be able to do it free if I can. What would be the best way of going about this, I was thinking of creating a page but not sure which type of page to create. Its only a small venture but I need to get to the local community. Any help appreciated.

I have tried reading their help pages but I just find them very confusing, so I just need some basic advice please.

Make your FB site to to friends. Friends attach your site to their profile to expand publicity.

I don't understand what you mean Tambo, which option should I choose with the page options?

Ratter -I have a business page. You set up a 'page' and it gives you different categories ie Community, Shop. Once you have set up your page and given it a suitable name 'ie Rattercatchers inc.' You can then 'invite' all your friends on FB to like it -make sure you make all your posts public. Using a page for advertising is very effective. If you are providing a service, then go to other FB pages and 'like' their page and invite them to 'like' yours. For example I sell Retro stuff so I will look for pages on Interior design, retro lifestyle etc.

choose 'create a page' then choose one of the options

clicked before I was finished - which option depends on what your page will contain -if its a small business (like rat catching) then opt for local business, if its an information page like ' how to deal with rats' or 'rat appreciation society then opt for cause or community

Similar to the property let you had. Put it on your FB profile. Your friends will see it & add it to their profile page so all their friends & friends of friends view it when checking profiles. That is free.

You could also add your fb venture to your community site.
