Getting Round Passwords

i've just been given a pc which is running windows XP. when i started it, its asking for a password, is there any way around this as i only see the guy every 2 or 3 months and dont know his phone number.

I have found Kon-Boot a useful tool it does not hack the password but bypasses it allowing you to create another admin user

If you want to find the password there are two free programs at can help you find it .The first one is The Magical Jelly Bean and the other which I use is called OPHCRACK . To use these programs you must download them and burn the ISO image to a disk and then when you are about use them you must log into the BIOS and change the boot order to boot from the CD which you have just created and when it runs it will seek out and find your password which you must write down to use top logon to your computer. Remember to download the one for XP .

Thanks both for your answers,I'm not at all computer savvy and haven't got a clue what I'm doing so I'll wait till I see the bloke next time. I was hoping some one would say something like hold this key while pushing this one or something similar.
