Can you release hamsters back into the wild?

Is it ok as I know it's freezing outside but that's why god gave them fur right? I just want to know would it be ok from predators as it's pretty aggressive and may be able to attack a rat but I'm not...

Burnt on food in stainless steel casserole

Left this on by mistake and now the bottom is black. Whats the best way to remove the blakc burnt on layer? I have left it soaking in undiluted washing up liquid but it has hardly shifted it.
