Windows XP bottom right corner

In a small rectangle at the right end of the Taskbar a lot of programs open up without my asking them to. How can I stop them doing this?

I have a Netgear 54 Mbps wireless router, and I am wondering if it is possible to somehow wirelessly transmit, say, a video from my PC to my television. If so, what do I need to get? Thanks.

Mac software on a PC

Is it possible to run Mac software on a PC? Isn't there something called an emulator? How does Mac software run on one- is it clunky or OK? Thanks for your help.

DVD Ram video disc (Maxwell)

These are DVD RW discs which you can use to record programmes on DVD players. However, I can't play them on my computer's DVD drive. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for your help.

Ripping from one CD drive, burning to another

I have two CD/DVD RW drives on my computer. Is it possible to rip from one and burn directly with the other without having to save the rip result on the hard drive? Thanks for your ideas.

Rip & burn CDs

I have ripped and burned a CD, but when I put in in the CD player ( Sony Discman D 133), it comes up No Disc. Why won't the stupid thing see that there is a disc in it? eh?
