Mushrooms
20 Answers
I love mushrooms & out shopping today in the market, I got a big box of baby mushrooms for a pound!
But they are so awkward to clean!!! I know you cannot wash them but it took me a good 15 minutes to clean some for our breakfast.
Anyone got an easier way???

Little fiddly button mushrooms I pop in the salad spinner, swish until filth is detached, then spin dry.
Bigger ones, rinse under slow tap (gill side down) and remove dirt with fingers, put them onto the chopping board (gill side down) as they come out of the tap, and then cup a gently hand over them as I lift them board and all and tilt over the sink to drain juice.
