Not knowing how your chats go, Abbey, it is a difficult question but I am inclined to think he has cooled off the dating idea (maybe because you didn't agree to stop over at his right now).
Maybe you should just move on and, hopefully, find someone who is sincere.

Question Author

I just won't message him when he does message it's only few words anyway.

Abbey, have you stopped all contact with the bearded guy? And how are you getting on with the new guy you 'met'( chatted with online) last week?

Question Author

Pretty much and speak a little bit.

Abbey, it is OK to continue talking to someone even if you've no intention of  dating them. You can chat as friends, and...you never know...they might have mates they can introduce you to. Probably far better than dating sites. Not answering someone if they message you is a bit rude. To me anyway. Unless of course they are pushy or creepy.

You can't be that interested in him if you're chatting to other men on PoF.

Abbey, you've seemed quite happy to keep your options open until it suited you best...and I'm sure you realize that option is open to each and every one of the guys you see/'speak to'.

Question Author

Oh well haven't heard from him today.

Do I
Question Author

Do I tell him he makes no effort if he messages me.

No, you keep quiet

Abbey, what good would that do? Would it make you feel better?

Question Author

He hasn't messaged since Sunday

He's not interested.

Have you considered a chaperone to keep you right?

Save all this nonsense.

Question Author

I can't be bothered with him either

That's settled then.

Abbey, glad you're all sorted now.

Question Author

Obviously not as nice as he came across.

Abbey, we here have no idea what the guy thought of you. He maybe liked you a bit, but not enough. He has maybe now found someone he likes more. You were a little unfair to the bearded guy, but are maybe now in a similar position yourself.
