How about one place where the RIP posts can go so they're not all over the place and multiplied every time someone famous dies?

Thanks, I think so, although now I'm wondering if I should have used RIP :-)
It would be a good idea... RIP is ok... why wouldn't it be...you would wish that for pretty much every deceased individual
RIP ' The Armadillo' ! ;-)

Oh No Redman, has the armadillo passed over?
Good idea, although it might open some posts to ridicule when a genuine RIP is posted and not everyone shares the sentiment. For instance, when musicians or sports stars die, if they're posted in the appropriate music/sports sections, others with the same interests may be a little more sympathetic.

It may well be a good idea. However, for a few days only, I intend that the Ed should RIP from my comments. !!

Ron.
Maybe a sticky for the first poster in the appropriate topic for the first few days.
Then it could just fade away.....
