Additions to avatars

How do you put accessories on your original avatars, I see some with christmas hats on.

Get a copy of your picture in Word or another package. Find a picture of a Christmas hat. Then copy it, crop it as necessary or change it's size, and superimpose it onto your current avatar pic. Then put the new picture onto Gravatar.
There may be easier ways but that's how I did i

factor, got my avatar and hat - cropped - in word, now how do i superimpose it?

Yes, they will appear as two separate images so you need to merge them. There are ways to do this but I can never remeber so I just do a screen print into a new document and that gives a me a single image which I then copy and save as a picture. Probbaly inefficient but it works.
I actually did it with your picture and temporarily saved it a s my avatar to show you what it would look like, but there seems to be a delay again in getting the changes to feed through to AB. Keep a look at my avatar- you could always copy it

Yu might have to wait a while- it's 16 hours since I changed my avatar on Gravatar and thechange hasn't come through yet so I assume teh Gravatar/Answerbank issue is still not fully resolved.
So I'm stuck with a Christmas hat
