waiting for ads.silverdisc.co.uk
7 Answers
From time to time, including this morning, Answerbank pages take well over 30 seconds to load up, and sometimes it's quicker to log out and log back in again. I've noticed that while the AB screen is hanging a little message appears at the bottom saying "waiting for ads.silverdisc.co.uk".
I assume this is something to do with ads on the AB site as I don't get the message on other sites. Is it an AB issue and is there any way round it please?

If running adblocker please try it without to see if performance changes, there may be a bug in that. (This is a suggestions from me, not the tech team)
Could you also let us know what the first advert you see on site is when it does load?

'waiting for ads.silverdisc.co.uk' is at present showing on the bottom bar of my screen. Must admit that it doesn't appear to be causing any speed problems this end. My only problem is that wherever I go within AB the Kia car company is being thrown at me. One has now come-up down the left hand side; oops there is another which has emerged on the right hand side.
This morning, I had three on screen, all at the same time. Perhaps I should never have clicked an advert for Kia cars.!!
