No huddle required, if one doesn't like a post they can remove it... But... from what the ED said earlier he will now receive an immediate notification that a post has been removed by a mod so they can check on it and re-instate it if they wish. I'd also guess that any mod that got overly trigger hippy would soon not be a mod.

I thought there'd be more of a scuffle about this - I suppose it's a bit early!

Sorry it's a bit boring as updates go, but it will improve the site quality overall in the long run.

The only change I've noticed is that when I tried to report a spam post the reporting screen asked for a password and whether I wanted to remove the post. Presumably that's a facility only mods can use. There doesn't now seem to be an option to simply report.

I clicked 'report' alongside a posting of mine in this thread and saw that to which factor30 has referred.

Please Ed tell us what it all means.
