We hope to have a version of the Mobile AnswerBank up and running over the weekend for testing.
We've got a short-list of users we'd like to invite to come have a look. We'd like to make that list slightly longer.
Please register your interest in AB mobile below. I will look up your email address in the DB and send out details to there. To this end, make sure your email address is correct here: http://www.theanswerb...user/edit_profile.php
Ed.... When I started reading your posting, I thought for a moment that you had swapped you bike for a HGV, and, this weekend was road testing the vehicle.. I pictured it as being similar to a mobile library.
Gotta admit I'm pretty impressed with it, definitely prefer it to IOS and for a person that just wants a phone that works rather than a device they can customise everything I'd say it's better than android too.
There are a few bad points (like the youtube app is pants) but no doubt they will get better (though the facebook app is the best one out of the lot I'd say).. I'm looking forward to WP8 now.
Chuck, it's been good to me so far - the "People" hub works perfectly for what I need. Also, all the office stuff seems to work really well - actually being able to edit something on the phone and it not to be completely messed up when i return to it on a desktop is a blessing.
Thanks for the turnout everyone. I will be taking down the list tomorrow morning, so that will be the cut off point for beta testers.
Ed....Viv and I have the cheapest of mobile phones which we only use for emergency purposes; such as if we needed to call-out the AA etc.
Consequently, you can leave us off your list.
Nevertheless, in all seriousness, I hope everything goes well and that the tests which you are conducting prove to be a worthwhile exercise.
It works fine on ma HTC Desire 'phone 99% of the time, there's the odd time it won't let me use the submit button but other than that, everything else works.
