I think it can be useful. On another website I have joined in the past we had option to put in birthday. Then on each day at the bottom of the page it shows whose birthdays are that day.
Why is it important, do some people, like a regular contributer to the news section, feel more comfortable trying to brow beat/bully a female to agree with their viewpoint, or maybe their are posters on here who are just not at ease with the opposite sex?
I wouldn't mind a B'day indicator, but, my B'day on my profile keeps resetting itself to a 'default' date, showing me born in 2009, and will not reset whatever I do to it?
I like it as it is. I sometimes check before answering. I`ve been mistaken a few times for a man. Only on here I hasten to add. It made a difference to the answers I got and I purchased a better razor.
I don't think we need it - we know that some people lie just to confuse us, so it's not a reliable piece of information. There's no birthday information on my profile....?
I wouldn't want that either, I think it would inhibit them - or they'd keep being set up with people testing them. As it is, we don't know who they are (apart from the couple who have made it know).
If one is not fussed whether they are mistaken tfor the opposite gender then not sure it's such a big deal. Show it if it's filled in, not if it's not.
