I'd just like to take a brief moment to say thank you to all the user moderators who have been doing such a good job of keeping the site clean, safe and peaceful. I also thank them for getting up a little earlier than me!
I would also like to extend my thanks to all those one hand who helped me work out the welcome email issues.
Yes the Ed could email them privately but this is an opportunity for all of AB to show their appreciation and had you been around this morning when we were being offered endless cell phone and GPS jammers you would have appreciated the presence of a Moderator too.
On this occasion I agree with sqad. While I fully appreciate what the mods do and think they deserve praise I have no desire to know who they are. After all aren't they just level headed people who spend a lot of time online?
It may be a modern tendency to you Sqad. But in the 25years I have been working I have often encountered managers publicly thanking their team as part of briefings or on the successful conclusion of a project.
But Sqad, if you are working environment is an office then a public thank you would be within the confines of that office/building/organisation. If however you work in the virtual world your acknowledgement would be through that medium.
