Word Spell Check
8 Answers
You are writing a long document and you run spell check.....you close down and you re-open Word and the article and you have to run spell check again otherwise you get those irritating highlight lines under errors.
Is there any way of setting Spell Check or the article so that the changes are saved and not regurgitated on a star-up......in other words, just so that one can use Spell Check on what you have just written?
Many thanks from a 'hamateur Word-ite'!

So, for example, if the word 'DTcrosswordfan' keeps getting highlighted in your Word documents I think there is some form of 'add to dictionary' option so next time you open the document or type that 'word' it won't get highlighted
If you accept or make any changes that the spell checker suggest you then need to save the document.
Then you need to turn of auto spell check etc
Dont know what version of word youre using but in Office 2010 you go to File >Options> Proofing
and here you can turn on or off whatever you like.
I have everything off and do a manual check from the quick task bar

The custom dictionary doesn't get full (well unless you try and add an entire library to it!)
