Avatars
3 Answers
I wish I could do interesting things with the avatars I make! For instance how do you get a little star to jump up and down in the picture? How do you get the letterrs to flash and light up? How do you get a small moving picture inset in the avatar? I don't have a very good Photoshop, just PhotoStudio 5.5. I can't even open moving pictures in Photostudio. Can somebody give me some tips or resources on avatars? I haven't been able to find any. My avatars must be so boring that avatarhell.com hasn't posted any of them, which is very discouraging. Do I even have the right software?

You can get software which can create and edit animated gif images : you, for example, can have 2 images... One with a word in black text, then in silver. If you instruct the program to alternate between them on a permanent loop, it'll flash.
You can do more, but that's one v.simple example.
If you can create decent looking images from scratch I'd be interested to know and can also give more info on the above software. My addy is here:

Oh, no you don't want to see my avatars. They're incredibly boring. I just get a picture, or make one, reduce it to 100x100 pixels, then add stuff onto it, like stamp shapes, words, or lighten or darken it with PhotoStudio. Thanks for the url though. I'd love to find out more about this software. Do you know what it's called?
