I contribute to the answer bank at least weekly by asking or answering questions. Recently, I have been asked to log in with both my email address and my password every time I wish to ask a question; why is this and is there any way to avoid this annoyance? Please advise.

Also, if you clear your cookies as a matter of course when logging off (as I know some do) this will wipe out the cookie which remembers that you're logged in.
I certainly never Log-out. Some folk feel that refraining from logging-out can put their computers at risk.

If I recall, correctly, it was Chuck who said that the only time one needed to take such action is if a computer other than one's own was being used; because anyone else using it would be logged in and could falsely pass themselves off as the usernamed.

In fact I have a logo on my desktop which takes me straight to my Profile page, without having to log-in.

Ron.
