We're planning a little downtime "this evening"/tomorrow morning at 1am. Hopefully this won't effect the majority of you :)

3. We're splitting up your first name and last name in the database. Currently we've got a single field called "name". While this is fine, it means that often we can't be all that formal in Newsletters and the like. So, we're programmatically splitting the field into two. Tomorrow it would be worth checking to see how well we've done by visiting here:

And correcting your first name and last name. Don't forget to click "submit" at the bottom of the page before leaving!
4. We've tweaked the password recovery system and made some minor technical changes to the way our results appear in Google. You won't be able to see these changes immediately however, and there will be a further announcement when you can.
As always, let me know if you have any questions.

So far the probl ems with the updat e are ends of words split ting, not being able to have < ducks > displ ayed prope rly and every thing runs into one line, so when you hit the enter butto n to start a new line it just all runs toget her.
It's going to make the News and vario us other threa ds inter estin g and diffi cult readi ng.
Here' s an examp le to suppo rt what albaq werty says:

I typed a cross word expla ation , caref ully setti ng each step out on a new line to make it easy to follo w. But when I submi tted it, it all ran over into one line makin g it much more diffi cult to follo w.
As someo ne else said, all the lines are runni ng into one. New parag raphs don't work.
New parag raph - let's see if it works . I agree with Chuck and B00. Not a good idea to be able to edit posts after they' re poste d. Peopl e will hide a multi tude of sins that way, and alter ation s after the event would resul t in gobbl edego ok - even more than usual I mean. ;o)
Anoth er new parag raph. I also agree with Ummmm . The retur n of the post previ ew would be good. At the momen t I type long posts in a Word docum ent - and then copy and paste .
Text justi ficat ion seems to have gone as well. See my answe r on this threa d:
