I have received the following message from chakka35 who is currently unable to post on AB or contact you.

I wonder whether you can help me. For three days I have been trying to post replies on AB and they don't register. I keep getting referred back to the Sign In panel which I fill in correctly every time. It makes no difference.
A call for help on the Editor's Blog doesn't register either and the Contact Us link gets me nowhere.
In other words I'm in the silly position of not being able to post on AB or to contact them to tell them my problem.
I was wondering whether you would mind contacting the Editor via his Blog and explaining my problem so that they can sort it out at their end. I'd be very grateful for any help you can give. //

That's weird, they posted on Friday...........
I would clear the cache, log out and then try to log back in.
Or maybe the password is remembered but he is typing and adding to it

Maybe he hasn't been able to post since Friday morning when he last posted. Friday, Saturday, and now Sunday ... three days.
Sorry naomi, I wasn't doubting your OP, just looking at their profile I couldn't see what the problem was.

Lady J has the same problem Ed - she tried this afternoon and no joy, exactly the same issue - just tried now and she has e-mailed the "Clique" - what clique, I ask you...........

Ed, any chance of a response to this? I don't know if you've seen it or not, and I would like to know it's being dealt with.
I'm not sure how I can help with so little info.

If he's using anythign older than IE 7 then he needs to upgrade.

How is he accessing the site?

His account logs in fine (I've just seen). Does he do anything like delete cookies/cache before posting? That would knock the site out of his PC's memory.

Ask him to try again today. We've not had an email from him since October - he can contact us on: theeditor AT theanswerbank DOT co DOT uk if he wants some help.

Thanks. I'll email him and point him in this direction.
Thank you, Ed, for your very helpful email. All is now well. For the others' info the whole thing was due to my own stupidity in clearing cookies, not knowing anything about them.
Thanks also to naomi 24. As the Ed himself said to me it is good to have friends like that. Cheers, all. Time for another G&T.
