I notice my username hasn't changed yet, is there anything one must do to activate this change?

Have you received an email? (does your profile contain your current email address?)
But it seems odd you can still sign in as AOG- unless you have remained permanently signed in
Have you tried logging in as Excalibur?
Maybe you need to log out from you AOG name first

Thanks for those suggestions, I have received an email, my profiler contains my current email address, I have tried to sign off then sign back in with my new username, but it won't allow me to.

My username change happened without me having to activate it or having to log in and out. One for the Ed definitely.

the ed had an extended break last weekend, hence garths hay stayed on the K for a week, maybe they are fitting in holidays owed at the end of the holiday year, which is poor planning on the part of the management to allow holidays to accumulate untaken, they should get staff to fill out their holiday dates at the start of the year to avoid such a situation in future,

i had hoped for my new chosen name however, the name i want was used several years ago - by me, under my old e-mail, and is now dormant.
but the ED will not grant it

i have asked him for another choice ..... he has not bothered to respond
