How do I stop the ads keep blaring out when cursor isn't even any where near them, please?

I know I can turn the sound off but I like to be able to dip in and out of youtube clips and radio while I'm on AB

So , arent these ads on here , by agreement / consent of the advertisers and the owners of the site ( plus a consideration by the advertisers ) ?

This noisy ad has woken me up a few times today. It was the big ad just to the right of 'best answer'

This one today for example. It just blared out wothout me clicking on anything



Do we just have to put up with noisy ads or accept that we need to turn speakers off before using AB

Another one- Gumtree- has just made me jump with someone shouting out "success"

I managed to get the make-up one!

These are "on hover" ads - so unless something is broken you do need to hover over them to start them.

However, I have found the evil dead one and removed that as well.

TMaybe they are targeted ads, Ed. These appear for me as the big, almost square, ads immediately to the right of the Best Answer area
