Afternoon,

As you know, we have a Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/AnswerBank

I wondered if any of you who happen to "like" us could give us some feedback?

What would you like to see more of?
What would you like to see less of?

Do we post too much? Too little? Just right?

We have a way of seeing some of this stuff through Facebook, but it's good to have it direct sometimes!

Thoughts?

Is there really a purpose for AnswerBank to be on Facebook. AnswerBank is fine as it is - an excellent Q&A site. Facebook is quite honestly a 'nothing'.

Just my thoughts of course.

Sorry, should have put a disclaimer suggesting that this question really only applies to those who use Facebook and have interacted with us on there in some capacity.
what is facebook?
do i need one?
is it the ASDA version of a kandle?
Out of nothing more than curiosity Ed, might I ask what percentage/rough guesstimate of AB users also use the AB Farcebook(that term is rather more apt than usual given their actions over the last 24 hours) site?
perhaps it is a good place to put all their decapitation videos that might be removed by mods here?
I don't understand this.

A few months ago I had some replacement windows fitted. Good product, good job, nice price etc. Absolutely no complaints. Then, a few days after completion I get a phone call from the company asking me to go onto Facebook (which I have never done and have no intention of ever doing) to "like" them. What's that all about then?

I got a couple more calls in the same vein (noticing that I had not "liked" them) over the next week or so and got so pi55ed off with them I had to tell them to go forth and multiply. Now I don't "like" them at all.

Shame, because they did a good job and I may have recommended them to others.
I don't like Facebook. What's it for?
I'd like less facebook, but since I never go there (intentionally) that may be difficult.
Precisely New Judge. FB is like a kindergarten playground at times.

''You like me and I will like you''. Ooooo what fun.
Too late for disclaimers Ed ;-)
I don't understand why we have a need for an FB page, Ed - has it actually benefited AB in some way?

I would kindly suggest that if you're not a Facebook user, this might not be the thread for you :)

That's unusually aggressive marketing New Judge.

Ultimately, if you "like" The AnswerBank on Facebook, it gives us a better chance to be seen by those in your social circles, which might lead to more users coming here and joining it - boosting our little community.

AB often struggles here because many consider AB to be "theirs" or "their secret site" where they can seek advice regarding family, friends and so on.
Ah - I see, that makes sense. Go on, I'll Like you, then :-)

I too DON'T like Facebook - wished I'd never heard of it but joined a few yeas ag0, now cannot unsubscribe

Good question boxy!
Aaargh - Liked it, and a pic of Terry Wogan sprang into view :-)

"I don't understand why we have a need for an FB page, Ed - has it actually benefited AB in some way?"

I think so.

Lets flip this around: "has AB having a FB page effected you in any way?" :)
I look in occasionally, though only really comment on there when AB is down for maintenance, oops massage.
Had no idea that sort of stuff goes on NJ, so glad I don't/never will participate in FB!
