Security Alert Popping Up

I’m getting a security alert repeatedly popping up on here this morning.

“The identity of this web site or the integrity of this connection cannot be verified”

That’s followed by a warning:

“The name on the security certificate is invalid and does not match the name of the site”.

What’s that all about?

Before anything else, please check the date and time on your pc/laptop is correct.

After that it's a query for the Ab Editor.

Sorry, Methyl, I'm not very technical. This is the only website I have open. There are no other URLs.

I get that sometimes, even on certifiably safe government websites that were okay yesterday and will be okay tomorrow. Waiting a while seems to work, but doesn't explain what the problem was.
