Naomi.. you might be having problems with your browser caching since the update. i.e Internet explorer is still showing you the version of the site before the update. Please try pressing CTRL+F5 together on your keyboard to clear the cache, and try again? I had the same issue on my PC with Internet Explorer 11, but it was resolved after the cache clearing.

.

I seem to have found a way to get outside of the avatar by starting with a dot, then stretching the box downwards by using the tiny arrow head bottom right of the box and then repeatedly using key which gives a new line about 20 times so presumably this post will now begin with a large void.
.

Which worked, uses a lot of space, but until something is done that's all I can do.
Strange that Khandro. My Avatar does not impinge on the text space or increase in size when I do expand the answer box. Have you (I'm sure you have) deleted your old bookmark (or favourite) for the site, cleared your full browser history, logged down without just switching off, including closing your user account on your browser, then done a full start up and logged on to the bank from the official main web page. I did this on my laptop this morning and bingo perfect. I then saved the new log in to my favourites and all is well.
It seems as though fewer and fewer people are giving details of the quiz or the closing date
That has nothing to do with the new format, surely?
I've got a new pointy stick ready for tomorrow Granny.
Khandro

If you deactivate your avatar does the same thing happen with the jellymen?
No, Jellymen is the default.
Jackdaw33

I know jellymen are default but if they show normally on Khandro's computer perhaps the incompatability lies with Gravatar?

chia. I've changed to different avitars 3 times and it's the same on all of them
I'll have one more try. If the jellymen do the same thing then the fault must lie with your computer but if they appear normal there may be an issue with Gravatar. If it's an issue with Gravatar, opening a new account may be worth a go?

Is it still mucking about for you Khandro?
*chia.

I hear what you say, but the avatar can not be deleted from AB it seems, and on my Gravatar account there are 11 images culled from various sources, I would have to delete them all to have a default jellyman and I don't really want to lose them.

Ed. Thanks.

Khandro, I've disabled your avatar, has that channged anything for you?
*

Ed. No the avatar isn't disabled, it is as before, viz. it is small in the corner of the answer box until I click the cursor into it and then it expands to fill the void above. I then stretch the box downwards to get into the white space below the avatar and with 18 taps on the return key I can now type.
I could I suppose, highlight this text and cut and paste it back at the top of the box - but really!
There's now a jellyman on the answers page but it's still Eddie Constantine in the answer box.

Sorry Khandro, I know you've said before. But what browser are you using?

It is a really strange thing to be happening at all. Do you use any plugins/extensions?
Of no help to Khandro, but in all browsers I don't see my avatar in the "Your Answer" box, only jellyfolk. It's not a big deal mind, as I don't see an overwriting (?) problem as Khandro does.

How odd LiK. I can only think that Khandro's issue is at his end, because we've been unable to replicate it so far...
Mine's a jellyfolk too (faded out slightly) both on PC and ipad.
