Would You Prefer This Category Layout?

Good afternoon.

After a lot of feedback, it seems many desktop/laptop users would like to be able to see some questions and the latest posts at the same time. We'd like to try and help, so would this be a preferred layout for the category pages?

This would just be desktop, mobile and tablet would look as they do now.

Will the Latest Posts all come up together without having to scroll down? When I refresh that link to make the font bigger I can only see 3 of the latest posts without scrolling

Yes, I think for me, it would be MUCH better for quizzes. I am finding the new site rather daunting with such a large 'in your face' font

Are you saying that when you click into either of these categories i.e. - crosswords, chatterbank, Q&P, body & soul etc - the latest posts would only show the latest responses related to those categories ?

Bazile - no. I am not saying that. Some would like to be able to look at the questions in a category next to the latest posts. On desktop, the new design doesn't allow this. The design in my link, does.

Baz if you compare 'Quiz & Puzzles' section as that is what is in Ed's link - you'll see the difference.

mamy - i'm obviuosly missing something here - because when i click into a category e.g quiz and puzzels - it already brings up questions in that category on the left hand side of the page and latest posts are on the right hand side of the page .

At the top of Q&P for example , there is so much at the top you have to scroll down quite a way to see any questions.

No! I cannot discover where the answers to questions about the Daily Mail Prize Crossword are. When I select Daily Mail I get a web page asking me what question I want answered: I only want to go down the list of previous questions for yesterday's edition.
