Sometimes I proofread mine numerous times so "KNOW" with "1,000,000%" certainty it has to right. Then the moment one presses 'submit', out of the corner of one's eye one sees an error that simply can't be there because it was checked umpteen times. Or having posted, one reads the result and finds errors immediately. So reading before posting clearly doesn't help, and I wish folk wouldn't tease by continually suggesting it.
Old-Geezer - I'm with you 100%! I'm a grammar nazi with OCD and it's driving me NUTS that I can't edit any typos! As most people know, it doesn't matter how hard you stare at something, it's only when you post (or print it!) that the mistakes become glaringly obvious. My mental state is now in turmoil...
Surely, a short period of time to edit (that's only editable by the poster) wouldn't make the sky fall in? I can't think of any other websites I've posted on, that don't offer this facility.
PLEASE?
