If you join the new Answerbankers Facebook page, can your friends see? Can they see any posts that you write or comment on?

I don't want anyone on my friends list knowing about AB.

I'm no Facebook expert but posts to Groups only show in that group. The only way your friends would see your posts is if they are also in the same group.
I don’t think it’s a secret page therefore your posts would show up
Ashamed of being an Answerbanker eh?

'my name is rocky and i am an answerbanker'

I've just checked my profile and it shows up, so I've left the group ( sorry Ed).

Of course not Talbot, I just don't want some of my friends getting nosey.
Now you've left the group have a look and see what posts are visible to non-members
I'm not and never will be on Facebook or Twitter

I'm with Tuvok.
Morning all. The new Facebook Group is public, so anyone who joins and posts to the new group WILL be visible to their friends and family. If you're already part of The AnswerBank, then you need not worry about the Facebook Group - you're already here, on the best version of AB.

Facebook has changed its algorithms, meaning the AB Facebook page simply won't show to people anymore. Groups is the way forward, and we're spreading the word on the group to hopefully encourage some new faces to pop up on here, the real AB.

If you're happy to get involved in the group, publicly, then please feel free, as we might end up recruiting some new AB members in the process! But equally, it's doing its own thing over there on the world of Facebook, so please don't worry about it :-)

It's all there, HC. I understand that FB is quite a powerful tool for advertising, but I'm just not prepared to share Rocky with all of my FB friends.

Ed, we crossed posts. Thank you.

Of course I am. Not everyone can get a piece of me ;)
Completely understand Rocky, and not a problem in the slightest!
That's a relief. People keep saying that AB is now more like Facebook and I thought that this was the beginning of the end. Thanks for putting my mind at rest, Ed.

i`m with Tuvok and Danny - way to much info on Facebook particularly as its well known to be insecure.
Glad to have put your mind at rest Tilly!
