What Are 'subscribed' Posts?

I don't ask too many questions here, but have asked two in the last couple of weeks...one about the voyager space mission and one asking for a decent bank recommendation...why are both these posts now listed as 'subscribed'?

There's a 'subscribe' option. You can unclick it.

it means you receive e mail notification of any postings on that thread..you can remove subscription as Ummmm says
