how is it that spam posters can put their content on here as soon as they register, I am sure when I joined I had to wait a few days before I could post anything

Maybe you are thinking of when new posters username's appeared in a different colour (green?) for a few days

You have to wait two weeks to get an avatar but I’m sure you can post immediate when joining? I can remember the green thing you got before becoming a fully fledged jelly man :0)
