To All Who Answered My Thread On Fitting Spring Clip Light Bulbs - Thank You

I ordered kitchen tongs (barry1010) and, despite some tense moments, my helper successfully replaced the broken lamp shade. I then used my ordinary vacuum cleaner, which has a long stretchy cable, to remove the dead insects etc. (Eleanor2) and a damp cloth to clean the glass shades. A successful outcome thanks to the helpful people on AB.

I'm so glad the tongs worked! Hope you can find some other uses for them, too :)

I'm sure I will Barry, as I have arthritis in my hands and use lots of implements to help me do things already.

I have just seen your other post re those spring clip - I have 3 and they are a nightmare - I don't have the strength to squeeze them so I just dust around them. Once one came off and I had to get my neighbour to get it on again.
