Windows 10 Latest Update 20H2 (New Thread)
I am still not convinced about the recent update and there is one thing that I would appreciate some help with.
I have the old fashioned icons rather than the tiles that are standard with Win10 and since the installation, the text associated with these icons is so small as to be almost illegible.
I remember that Win7 had a "Personalisation" setting which allowed for tweaking of many display items, icon text, icon spacing and icon size included. It seems that this feature has disappeared in Win 10.
Now if I "Make Text Bigger" it affects other sizings as well. Is there a simple way of adjusting font size on only desktop icons and a way of changing the font to Bold (or indeed in simply changing the font.)?
Ideally, I would like to do this without tinkering with the Registry. If this is not possible, what is the best way to uninstall the latest 20H2 update?

Everything I can find out about this little utility, and the site that it's sourced from, suggests that it's perfectly safe to download and install. (I'd be prepared to use it myself, if that's any guide): https://

However, I find the very small text under the icons on my Windows 10 machine perfectly legible anyway. Assuming that you don't need a trip to the opticians, it might be worth a quick check to see if your monitor is properly set up. (Most aren't!). A poorly-configured monitor is often the cause of text becoming less legible. Go here

Check that you can easily read all of the numbers, from 0 to 10, across both of the bottom two lines. If you can't, you need to adjust your monitor.

The Wintools utility did exactly what I wanted it to do.
The Test Card was useful too. I have been spending rather too much time in recent months in front of screens of different sizes and I was very pleased to note that my monitor was just about spot on, so at the moment, any "Should have gone to Specsavers" comment is not necessary!
