Hi Spare Ed. Is a Best Answer feature really necessary. We can always thank people and, quite honestly, so many people choose those who agree with them. I have stopped giving Best answers now and I never look at my Best Answer count.

I thought they were giving us more when did it become pay and we will take away i like the best answer but think it would be better if it was an upvote system instead of chosen by the op

I used to display my BAs on my mantelpiece but got fed up dusting them. They are now in a box with one exception.

Big box, Alba. :-). They did gather the dust, didn't they. Mine got left in the UK attic. Bob and Alethea who bought the house were thrilled and have them on display.

I remember there were times when I felt I had no other option but to award myself best answer for my reply to comments on my OP.
Sadly, can't do that anymore.
