1) Find the page you want to link to
2) click on the address bar, it should highlight it, if it doesn't click on a blank part of the page heading then click again.
3)Hover over the highlighted bit and right click and select copy.
4) go to the area where you want the link to appear, eg the answer box in AB and press CTRL+V together or right click and select paste.
the above instructions make it look more involved than it is but it's really very simple.

Your not going to get links from the person you want

this is for those who don't know and have the brains to learn.
You lost me after1),3T,im afraid to say.
Worth posting this some people struggle especially in the music threads, it does get worrisome when they say can someone post. X don't for me because I don't know how, it's like working in a office where one colleague asks at least once a day about how to set the photo copier to collate and staple!

how ynna?
I have trouble hovering since the operation, what can I do?
Aarghhh,im a total technophobe. So i go onto YouTube, which part of YouTube do i go onto to....ach,fecking forget it.
Ctrl+C (to copy the highlighted text) is somewhat quicker for 3). I'm not sure how much help this is for those using smartphones and tablets.
Get the song you want playing in you tube, then the bit you want is in the address bar... The bit that looks like a web address made up of letters and numbers
kindle and probably other tablets. Move the cursor into the area you need and hold until the little paddle thingies come up and drag them to the ends until the bit you want is highlighted
I take it your 10 year old grand-daughter does all your internet stuff for you,3T.My lot just laugh at me and call me a fud.
I refuse to let something beat me, I just have a go until I find what works.... You learn some very strange things while you are trying. I don't have children, or nieces and nephews. Have to do it, unless someone has a pre teen I can borrow when I need help... Once they hit 10 they know too much and are too quick to follow!

ynnafymmi: "I take it your 10 year old grand-daughter does all your internet stuff for you,3T.My lot just laugh at me and call me a fud. " - you've confused me there, not sure why you'd think my grand children would help me! I've lived and breathed IT most of my working life, I go back to the days when we used paper tape and punched cards. We were bowled over when dumb VDUs started to arrive! I still have a card from my first COBOL program as a bookmark!
Looks like im a lost cause,3T.When even my grand-kids start laughing at me,i know i am a lost cause on this modern computer and mobile phone thingys...

Editing data and programmes with a craft knife, shuffling the deck of cards. Thinking 192K of memory was pretty cool. A 6MB exchangeable disk drive the size of a washing machine. Happy days.
Oh I remember it well, our school had a linked terminal to the University of london Girls were not allowed in the programming group all that happened was the brighter boys tried to make it calculate pi and wasted a lot of paper, or created pictures of naked women.... Nothing changes!

but I worked in the transport industry before I was a nurse, and training staff in new systems was often part of my job. I was always one of the first group sent as it seemed I had a knack for explaining to the truly terrified who thought it they pressed the wrong button something would explode, converting data into boxes on reams of paper for payroll... So boring, then getting my first pc with a stupidly large bank loan so I could do my course work at home rather than fighting for a terminal at college. Now my smallest kindle out powers that pc, my current one is pretty low spec but money was tight but it's on my upgrade list, it's my library, my art studio, my admin centre, and at times my link to the world. I am only a novice really but I don't put barriers in my own head.
How do you do hyperlinks???
Have any of you realised that once you have clicked on the address bar of a page you can also generate a qr code? The qr code icon even stays in the address bar after you have "cancelled" the highlighting.

Togs, one step at a time!
All this is getting a bit complicated. I just put the cursor on the address bar, left click to highlight the address, right click and select 'copy' - then go to where I want to put the link, right click and select paste.
