The human voice carries with it egotistical aspects that I find unpleasant. Whereas Say, Beethovens 7th symphony is a complete joining of multiple instruments achieving a beautiful harmony. Keep your Robbie Williams and your Adele's. Music made by competent musicians in an orchestra fits my criteria.

I enjoy a wide range of music, some voices can make the hair on the back of neck stand up, some instrumentals can make my heart swell.

A catchy pop or rock song can get my feet tapping.

Any music you don't appreciate is your own loss of something you could have appreciated.  The human voice is a fine musical instrument.

Nah, it must be me.  I dont sing at all, I reckon I could be done for assault.

I do like all sorts of music.  I think appreciation largely depends on circumstance and who is performing.  Some vocals are appauling (although I did like the Sex Pistols) as are some orchestras.

I like lots of different kinds of music in moderation. I don't have it blaring out all day like some folks. Rap doesn't count as music imv.

But seriously why would a singer be anymore egotistical than someone who plays an instrument?

I reckon conductors must rank highly on the ego scale, they wave their arms and tiny batons at accomplished musicians that know how to play the piece then take all the credit.

Surely only a second rate orchestra needs a conductor🤔
