Hi,im doing xmas dinner this year for 12,i would like to have a large pan of mulled wine for the aroma and the taste mainly!!i like the idea of leaving it on the log burner,to keep warm throughout the day but would this heat it up too much?ive been told it loses taste if it boils?also does anyone know a quick and easy recipe for it?thanks!

There's a simple recipe here:

Keeping mulled wine warm, over a fairly low heat, shouldn't do it any harm but boiling it should definitely be avoided. Not only will it spoil the taste but it'll also remove the alcohol!

Chris
bottle red wine
2 oz sugar
cinnamon stick
a couple of cloves
an orange (sliced)
half an apple (sliced)

warm gently til you can smell it
then put in a quarter bottle of brandy

happy xmas :)
Use a slow cooker on low. That will keep it warm without overheating.
