Hi, just a quick question from me. Does anyone know how or even if I could request a film to be played on TV? Ie. is there an address I can write to to ask if they could play a film in the near future? Much thanks. dec
Is this a commercial film, or an amateur production? If the former, then you would need to find out who (if anyone) has the rights to the film. For instance, Channel 5 hold the terrestrial rights to the "Beauty and the Beast" TV show (but have no current plans to repeat it). What is the film, if it's not impertinent to ask? Could you not get it through other means, or does it have to be shown on TV?
well not really an exact film. I just wanted to see an old film - Scarface - as people have said it was good, can cost a lot to buy at 18 and one that I can't find anywhere to rent.
Scarface has been on Sky Cinema recently, but I can't find any upcoming dates :-(. You can pick up both the '32 and '83 versions for under 6 on VHS if you're that keen!
A great service from Blockbuster on line, you can rent pretty much any film on DVD by post. They have Scarface but its not in stock, should be in a week or so. I doubt a TV channel would play a film on request simply because they would be inundated with requests for all sorts of things. On the subject of Scarface, I thought it was a load of rubbish myself.
