China and India's expansion is a big issue but we can't talk to them about reductions if we don't do things ourselves.
And that's going to mean a little bit more than the odd bit of recycling.
It's going to mean laws - things ranging from small stuff like banning tungsten bulbs to stronger issues like taxing aircraft fuel to extreme things like not approving new cars for sale if they can't meet efficiency standards.
Saying "I'm not doing anything because China isn't" is the logic of a 5 year old and much the same as standing on a petrol forecourt refusing to stop smoking until somebody else does!
